GoCoach’s Commitment to Action

By June 10, 2020 No Comments

To the GoCoach Community,

GoCoach and our team of HR professionals have remained committed to promoting diverse and inclusive workspaces since our inception. We believe that diversity and inclusion is foundational to building a safe, supportive, and happy work environment for everyone.

The world is listening now. After the death of George Floyd, leaders can no longer continue to ignore the systemic racism and unconscious bias in the country, society, and workplace. We have to put an end to this.

As leaders, we need to ensure that every single one of our employees feels safe coming (or logging) into work. It is not just about hiring diverse candidates — we must also provide a space for everyone to be their true selves and shape the culture in their own unique ways. It is never too late to build a safer, more inclusive workplace.

GoCoach will continue providing Diversity and Inclusion training to any organization that needs help. We encourage leaders to raise their hand. Leaders need to show vulnerability now more than ever and admit that there is always more work that can be done in the fight for equality, equity, and justice.

Earlier this week, two of our coaches led a discussion on systemic racism and unconscious bias. In case you missed it, we highly recommend watching the recording to hear their stories, feelings, and actionable steps we can take to put an end to this: https://www.linkedin.com/video/live/urn:li:ugcPost:6673621779367518208/

We will always continue to fight for diversity and inclusion. For companies who want to learn more about how they can do their part, we are here to lend a hand. Our team provides diversity and inclusion remote training (for groups) as well as 1-on-1 coaching to help build a safer workplace.

We will be donating 20% of our profits from our D&I training and coaching to The African American Leadership Forum and 20% to NAACP to continue supporting our black community and end racism once and for all.

Enough is enough. Leaders cannot continue to sit idly by as the black community endures more hate, racism, and violence. We must educate ourselves and our teams on how we can do better and what steps we need to take to make impactful change, so that we can make the world a better and safer place for everyone.
